Final
So my final social media project is due tomorrow. These next two week are jammed packed with work for me. I will have to bust ass but it will all be worth it in the end. I can't wait to ski again. I went to Copper last week and it was a blast. Besides the hoards of shitty skiers the snow was pretty good and the weather was great.

The Broncos are not an elite team
After watching the broncos play tonight it has become clear to me that the Broncos are good but not elite. The Broncos defense is clearly a good unit but the offense has been exposed the past two weeks. Orton can only do so much. He is efficient and doesn't make a lot of mistakes (until tonight). But if the Broncos fall behind its almost impossible for Orton to make any plays. McDaniel's needs to make some major adjustments on the offensive side of the ball. Some good news is that the Broncos have a favorable schedule over the next few weeks so hopefully we can turn things around. Go Broncos!

Horrible Tragedy
I just watched the most disturbing video. I don't think I will ever be the same. Watch this if you can handle a massive amount of fallen soldiers. May God rest their souls.

New Music and stuff
So a good friend of mine turned me on to a little group called Old Crow Medicine Show. They sing bluegrass which I have never really been that into but it is good stuff. In other news this week has been INSANE. I have 3 big projects due and a midterm on Wednesday, my brain is about to explode. I think I will go listen to Wagon Wheel.

Xbox lays down the law
I just read this article about how Xbox is going to block any unauthorized storage devices. Microsoft's explanation for this is that unauthorized storage devices could damage the console. It sounds like Microsoft is afraid of damaging there wallets.

6-0!

The times are changing. A new revamped Denver Broncos team has emerged as a true contender. We FINALLY got over that huge hump known as the San Diego Chargers. It was December 31, 2005 when the Broncos last beat the Chargers at home before last night. This game made a huge statement to the rest of the NFL, look out for the Broncos because they are for real. I am soooo stoked. This is a great article that addresses the current motion controller gaming war. It seems the future of gaming is incorporating motion capture devices with high definition consoles, sound cool.

Sweet victory, failed expecations

So the Buffs have done it. They won there first Big 12 game. I personally didn't think they would win until they played Iowa State, sometimes its good to be wrong. This was Hansen's first game as a starter and as far as I can tell he did pretty good. I didn't catch much of the game because I was working. We scored a lot of points and from the plays that I did see Hansen looked like he made some good things happen. I was worried this week that Hawkins would spilt time with Hansen. I don;t think this was the case but it is hard to tell when the only new source is the Daily Camera. I am happy that the Buff are going in a positive direction. I have been playing a little COD 4 in order to gear up for COD4 2. This game is going to be great. In other news I finally saw Paranormal Activity. I hate to give it a poor review but I really expected more. The movie was did do a good job of creating tension and the ending was pretty cool but it left me feeling a bit cheated. Contributing largely to my mix feelings was a group of 10 teenagers that sat in front of me and my wife Kristin. They whispered the ENTIRE TIME even after I gave them a very loud SHUSH. I think that whispering during a movie could be my biggest pet peeve. It took every fiber of my being not to tell them all to SHUT THE FUCK UP. Oh, and they repeatedly checked there massive Blackberry's for new texts. All of this bs greatly effected the mood of the movie and made it very difficult for me to get into it. I think that if the mood is right a scary movie is much scarier. Anyway I would recommend this movie as long as you see it on a school night.

There is no snowing in baseball

It's official. Tonight's Rockies and Phillie's game has been canceled due to it being COLD AS HELL. Its OK I can still watch CU attempt to step onto the field with #2 Texas without pissing their pants. This game is going to be a massacre. I would be happy if CU keeps it close. And by close I mean under 40. Perhaps Cody Hawkins will have the game of his life and actually win this game. I just don't see it happening. Texas is the class of the Big 12. They have a Heisman candidate in Colt McCoy and are undefeated. I wish CU would put some money into the program and show that they are not content with a truly mediocre football program. I don't think that will happen due to the fact that the athletic department is in debt up to there assholes. Oh, well at least the Broncos and the Rockies are good.
P.S. check out this video from http://www.youshouldhaveseenthis.com//. It's hilarious.
Peace.

Movies, skiing, games and more FOOTBALL!
Once again it's that time of year. The temperature drops and skiing enters my mind. Thoughts of fluffy powder flying into my face take over my dreams. I have purchased the super pass (Copper, Winter Park) this year due to my current financial situation (I'm a poor college student). Last year my wife and I bought the Colorado pass (Keystone, Breck, A-Basin) because she is a snowboarder and doesn't like Winter Park. I on the other hand am a huge fan of Mary Jane. Anyhow I am super stoked to go skiing very soon. Speaking of being super stoked I was watching MNF (great game by the way) and the new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 premiered. OMFG this game looks amazing! I love COD:MW1 and it looks like this game will blow it out of the water. The release date is 11/10/09 I am counting the days. I was watching Gametrailers last night and they showed a bunch of footage from the game. Multi player has a new Spec-ops mode where you play objective based missions with another person. The Broncos are kicking ass. No one saw this coming. I thought that we would be alright but 4-0! Holly shit. We will really be tested this week with the Pat"s coming to town. I hate that team, I hope McDaniel's beats the shit out of his old boss, I really hate that guy. I really think that we can win the division. Oakland and KC are glorified college teams and San Diego looks like they have lost there luster. If we can split the SD sieres we will be OK. Finally, I really want to see this Paranormal Activity movie. It looks really creepy and has gotten great reviews. I like these types of movies. You know the ones that are fillmed by the people in the movie like the Bliar Witch. I think i'm going to see it on Firday. Its that or the new TGR movie. I will write about the one I see next week. Hope all is well for everyone who reads this.
Peace.

Fantasy Football
Like many avid sports fans in this day in age I play fantasy football. My league (the Dia-Rio) is made up of co-workers and friends. At this point in time my team "the Denver donkey show" is in 3rd place after a huge week where I racked up 147 points. My competition scored a lowly 55 a 92 point difference. Frank Gore absolutely DESTROYED it for me. He ran all over Seattle. I have a good feeling about this season. I was also fortunate enough to attend the Broncos season opener. The Broncos looked pretty good on offense and their D was outstanding. Orton is an absolute joke of a QB. He consistently misses wide open WR's and has absolutely no mobility. But, he did make some big plays for us. Its going to be a long season for him. Broncos fans were already letting him have it in the 1st QT, including myself. If our D continues to play well I think we can keep it close in most of our games.
